
Suzanne Pleshette, born January 31, 1937, passed away on the 19th of January, 2008 in the United States. She was an American film theatre, television, and voice actress. [1] Pleshette started her career in the theatre and then began to appear in films towards the end of the 1950s. Later, she appeared in films with a prominent name such as Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), and Spirited Away (2001). In later years, she was a part of numerous television shows and was often as a guest actor. She was Emily Hartley in The Bob Newhart Show, from 1972 until 1978 which earned her several Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette is the daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan),[1] and Eugene Pleshette, was born on the 31st of January 1937 in Brooklyn Heights. The parents of the couple were Jewish as were the descendants of immigrants from Russia, Austria-Hungary. She was the daughter of Geraldine Rivers, a performer and dancer.
