Amal Clooney
Amal Alamuddin Clooney grew up in Beirut, Lebanon. The Arabic word that means "hope" is'ml. [9] Her family left Lebanon in the year she turned two years old during the Lebanese Civil War, and relocated to Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire. The father of her mother, Ramzi Alamuddin, a Lebanese Druze from the Alam al-Din Dynasty village of Baakline in the Chouf Districtand received an MBA degree from the American University of Beirut. In the year 1991[12]13], he returned to Lebanon after the Civil War came to an end. Her mother, Baria (nee Miknass), was born to a family of Sunni Muslims in Tripoli in Northern Lebanon,[14][11] and a Palestinian-Jordanian[15] mother. She served as an foreign editor as well as a political journalist at the Saudi-run al-Hayat publication. She founded International Communication Experts. The firm, which is part of a larger company, specializes in booking celebrity guests photographs for publicity events, promotional events, etc. [17] Amal has three siblings: one sister (Tala) and two half-brothers from her father's previous marriage. Amal was educated at Dr Challoner's High School located in Little Chalfont Buckinghamshire before going to university. After graduating at St Hugh's College in Oxford with an Exhibition Grant, as well as the Shrigley Award, she studied at St Hugh's College. The graduate received her Master of Arts (BA) degree in jurisprudence in 2000. Katz Memorial Award for her outstanding performance in the area of entertainment law.
